





The Rockwall High School Boys swim team won the District 11-5A Swimming and Diving Championships held on January 25. They Yellowjackets edged out Tyler Lee 140 to 139 in the meet held at the Rockwall ISD Aquatics Center.
The Yellowjacket girls swim team placed second behind Tyler Lee. Raena Eldridge was named the female “Swimmer of the Meet”
“Our swimmers have been preparing for this meet since September,” said Rockwall High Coach Paul Wallace. “Our boys showed their depth in winning a close battle for our first District 11-5A Championship with 14 of the boys advancing to Regionals. And, our girls did a great job in winning six of the 11 events.”
Girls individual winners included:
- 200 Medley Relay- Haylie Harbin, Raena Eldridge, Megan Conner, Jasmin Sani – 1:57.46
- 200 Freestyle: Haylie Harbin – 2:01.27
- 50 Freestyle: Raena Eldridge – 24.39
- 100 Butterfly: Raena Eldridge – 1:00.74
- 500 Freestyle: Haylie Harbin – 5:19.72
- 400 Freestyle Relay: Megan Conner, Raena Eldridge, Jasmin Sani, Haylie Harbin – 3:54.28
