Shannon 6th graders have been working with the Leader In Me Program for several years now. They also have had two years of serving in various leadership positions around the campus. This makes them the perfect students to help teach the Seven Habits of Leadership to the younger students.
Each week they are reviewing each habit themselves, and then planning lessons for Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students at Shannon. Each Friday they go into these classrooms and review the Habit of the week with their grade level.
Excitement fills the hallways as you hear songs, see skits, demonstrations and great interactions while the regular teachers sit back and simply observe. The younger children love it when older students coming to work with them.
