On Friday, April 10, the Utley Honors Band participated in the UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest held at Rockwall Heath High School. The band received unanimous perfect first division ratings from all six judges at the contest.
On Saturday, April 11, the Utley Honors Band participated in the Dallas Wind Symphony Invitational Wind Band Festival. The band received 3 outstanding soloist awards from their performance.
Later that same day, the Utley Honors Band performed in front of the American Airlines Center as a part of the outdoor pep-rally for the final Dallas Stars game of the season.
