Springer Elementary recently chose teams to compete at the upcoming Battle of the Books. Rockwall ISD librarians are implementing the Battle of the Books, a reading incentive program designed to encourage students to read quality literature. Students read books from a list and answer questions from those books. All Rockwall elementary schools will battle at the district competition on May 6th. Springer’s 3rd/4th grade team coach is librarian Rachael Taylor. The 5th/6th grade team coaches are 6th grade teacher April Perkins, 5th grade teacher Susie Kinney, and Rachael Taylor.
