On Tuesday, November 11, 2014, the students at Amy Parks-Heath Elementary will have the opportunity to participate in our first “Bring a Veteran to School Day” by inviting family members or a close friend who has served or is currently serving in our military.
Amy Parks-Heath Elementary will be taking time to honor the veterans at two assemblies, 8:15 am and 2:00 pm. in the gym. Students will be singing patriotic songs as well as hearing from special guests including representatives from the Dallas/Ft. Worth USO, Patriot Paws, American Legion and, of course, our military heroes. Amy Parks-Heath believes this will be an experience the students, staff, and veterans will treasure.
