Yesterday, Jones Elementary kicked off the 35th Anniversary of Jump Rope for Heart. This year’s goal is to raise $10,000 for the American Heart Association in an effort to encourage healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Jones Elementary is going to be Quacktastic this year: “Quacky” the Heart Hero Duck has been making some noise with students and staff. Through this initiative, students are learning about how their hearts work and the best way to take care of them, and Jones Elementary is going to honor those in our families and in the community who have been affected by heart disease and stroke.
