The Rockwall Yellowjackets are continuing their uphill climb to the postseason after another great victory in Tyler. This time they defeated Tyler Lee 42-35 on Friday night to move their record to 3-2 in district play. The Yellowjackets will turn around and face Mesquite (who was eliminated by Heath on Friday night) on Thursday evening at Hanby Stadium. The Jackets are still in control of their own destiny.

The Rockwall-Heath Hawks faced a must win on Friday night to continue their dreams of clinching a spot in the 2016 playoffs.

The Hawks cranked up the offense and stepped up on defense to take down Mesquite 52-24 in front of their home crowd at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium. The Hawks are now 3-2 in district and remain tied with Rockwall and Mesquite Horn for 3rd place. The Hawks will welcome Longview to town on Friday night. The Lobos are currently 4-1 in district play after falling to John Tyler last Friday. The Hawks are 0-2 overall against Longview. If the Hawks win out, they will clinch the #1 seed in District 11-6A as a big school and will host a home playoff game most likely against Montgomery.
The Hawks will face Longview this Friday night for Senior Night 2016!
