Mrs. Shannan Pete the Marketing Supervisor for Sam’s Club recently presented teachers at Amanda Rochell Elementary with a total of $1,250. The lucky Rochell teachers were surprised during a Rochell Rangers Rally, an event celebrating student accomplishments throughout the term.
Mrs. Pete awarded each individual teacher a $50 gift card on behalf of the Teacher’s Reward Program with Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club. The Teacher Rewards program is an extension of Walmart’s ongoing support of local education initiatives that help students better prepare for their future. The goal of the program is to offset money teachers spend out of their own pockets for student supplies. In 2012, Walmart and its Foundation donated more than $59 million to fund education programs across the country.
