Sixth Grade students at Springer Elementary participated in the annual Career Day on May 25th. The students rotated through five presenters to learn about different careers and what education/training is necessary for each field.
The students also participated in “hands on” activities to gain a deeper knowledge of careers presented. The presenters included: Paul Copioli – President of Vex Robotics, Jeremy Standifer -owner of the Book Club Café, Carrie Valentino – ICU Nurse at Baylor, Scott, White Hospital, Kevin Weable – Partner/Marketing Director at The CORE, Rockwall and Paul Leighton – Train Engineer at KCS Railroad. Connecting students with professionals sparks a passion for learning that will impact their journey toward a successful future.
