Students and parents came to admire the 2-D and 3-D works of our young artists at this year’s 1st annual Fine Arts Festival on May 5. Art students, Kinder through 5th grade, had artwork on display.
A few special ceramic pieces were available through a silent auction bid process. They could also hear the sounds of our 6th grade Steel Band, directed by Stephanie Channell, as well as band and orchestral ensembles playing at various times under the direction of Shawn Davis.
Students were able to participate in art demonstrations by our very own Stevenson Cubs. Special activities were hosted by the 6th grade Art elective students: face painting, a family photo booth and make-n-take art items. This kid-focused and student led event was an enjoyable evening for the entire family.
