Emergency Leave for Displaced Employees
The Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees granted employees who have been displaced due to the recent tornados in the area 10 additional days of “emergency leave”. This leave gives employees additional time to take care of their families and homes. These employees can use their additional leave at any time before June 30.
“The recent tornados have been a tragic disaster for our area,” said Superintendent Jeff Bailey. ”This action by the board is one of the many ways we’re helping our employees and community rebuild.”
Superintendent Search
With Superintendent Jeff Bailey’s recent announcement of his intention to retire in August, the Board of Trustees voted to invite search firms to present proposals for conducting the Superintendent search.
The Trustees hope to have a new superintendent named by late spring 2016.
