Rockwall Independent School District is proud to announce that Julie Woodard from Dorothy Smith Pullen Elementary has been named the Region 10 Elementary Teacher of the Year. In May, Ms. Woodard was selected as the Rockwall ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year along with Brandon Vestal from Utley Middle School who was selected at the district’s Secondary Teacher of the Year. Following this achievement both teachers then advanced to the Region 10 level of the competition. On Tuesday, August 14, Julie Woodard and Brandon Vestal were honored at a luncheon hosted by the Region 10 Education Service Center. At the event, Ms. Woodard was named the Region 10 Elementary Teacher of the Year.
